Vietnamese Catholic Funerals

Vietnamese Catholic funerals are often multi-day affairs. As funeral directors, we are here to help manage logistics and planning to ease the burden on your family in this difficult time. From hosting the viewing and visitation to coordinating with church services and helping to oversee the witness burial, we are here to support our Vietnamese neighbors through loss.

Visitation and Wake

Families commonly hold days of visitation, often on a Wednesday and Thursday, to allow friends, family, and loved ones to gather and exchange condolences and share memories of the deceased. We can host the viewing at our facility to accommodate a vigil, including space for refreshments for guests.

Funeral and Mass

Funerals in this community commonly happen on a Friday night, when loved ones gather at church for prayer and funeral Mass. We work closely with the churches in our community, including Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs and All Saints Catholic Church, to ensure service details and logistics are coordinated smoothly, relieving you of planning stress on the day of your loved one’s funeral.

We will handle the care and preparation of your loved one’s body, including transport from our facility to the church and coordinating transport to the cemetery.

Witness Burial

The morning of the burial, loved ones will usually gather for a prayer before the casket is closed and prepared for final rest. The family will then remain at the cemetery to witness the casket be lowered and the gravesite filled. The fresh grave is then decorated with flowers gifted to the family.
