Marilyn D. Ranch of Columbine Valley, Colorado passed away on Monday December 28, 2020 peacefully in her home.

Marilyn was born on November 26, 1937 in Leland, Iowa, daughter of Albert and Theresa Bakken. She graduated from Forest City High School and shortly thereafter moved to Lakewood, Colorado to live with her sister Dee and family. Soon after moving to Colorado, she met Bill Ranch and they were married on July 11, 1959. They were married for 61 years.

Marilyn was a homemaker and mother to their two daughters, Tanya and Tia. Later becoming, "Nana" to her two grandsons, Andrew and Nicholas.

In her past time, she enjoyed painting and watching her local sports teams. Marilyn was a very avid Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets fan, not missing many games.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Bill Ranch; her parents Albert and Theresa; her sisters Delores, Helen, and Carol; her brother Gordon; and her daughter Tanya Stevens. She is survived by her daughter Tia (Joel) Scott and their two sons, Andrew and Nicholas.

Marilyn had a private service at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on January 11, 2021 where she was laid to rest with her husband Bill.

Memorials received will be distributed to the Alzheimer's Association.
