Thomas Joseph Ashe, 78, passed away on February 13, 2018 at his home in Littleton, Colorado. He was the incredibly loving husband of Tamara (Packard) Ashe. They shared a wonderful 30-year marriage together.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Michael and Margaret (née Kilduff) Ashe.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 6 years. He was a pioneer in the field of computer technology and retired from Computer Sciences Corporation in 2001.

In retirement he kept busy, always serving his community. He loved helping children as a Distinguished Volunteer for Jefferson County CASA, he was a member of two Kiwanis Clubs, and proudly served as a devoted member of West Metro Civil Service. He was awarded Denver 9 News Volunteer of the Year for his efforts. He also was a soccer coach and referee, avid supporter of his children’s athletic teams, as well as a Boy Scout Pack leader.

He will always be remembered for his generosity. He loved to laugh, tell a joke, and had a twinkle in his eyes. He never met a stranger and had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. When asked how he was doing he was often heard replying, “If I was any better I couldn’t stand it!”

Left to pass on his love and legacy are his wife Tammy Ashe, his siblings Elizabeth (Harlan) Ronksley and Margaret (Russell) Rabjohns, his 8 children: Rusty Simison, Leslie (Mike) Dushek, Mike (Lisa) Ashe, Lorrie (Bob Cameron) Ashe, Tim (Sokhary) Ashe, Kristy Ashe, Kaitlin (Hayden) Ahlbrandt, and Tommy Ashe, as well as his fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary (née Ashe) Westhoven and James Ashe.

Throughout his illness he was surrounded by those who loved and cared about him including Shirley Packard, Cathy Packard, Elaine Packard, Peg and Larry Russell, and Woody and Elinor Packard. Also, many thanks to his Kiwanis and CASA friends who supplied endless hours of support, time, and kindness.

There will be a Celebration of Thomas' Life on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from Eleven O'Clock in the Morning until Two O'Clock in the Afternoon. The Celebration will be held at the Governor's Ranch Clubhouse, 9050 W. Prentice Avenue, Littleton CO 80123.
