During Nellie's many years in Colorado, she developed many close friends with whom she remained in contact with over the years. Nellie was very talented in crafts and worked many hours doing ceramic, porcelain painting and Japanese Bonka (Painting with cloth) where she developed a lifelong friendship with her dear friend, Lois Schlegel.
