Walter "Bill" Gillette

December 3, 1929 — April 3, 2021

Lakewood, Colorado

Walter "Bill" William Gillette was born in1929 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Walter Addison Gillette and Bernice Lucille (Waltzman) Gillette. He had 4 siblings, Dee, Nell Rene, Bernita and Robert.   He married Janice in 1951 and cared for her until she passed in 2011. He then married Priscilla Ann Carvin-Wright in 2015.

Bill enlisted in the Airforce and was stationed at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was in the Air Force from December 6, 1950 until November 25, 1953. Bill once said, "The US Air Force was good to me, and for me. The military are the greatest teachers in the world. I left the Air Force prepared to enter a career that grew and expanded all my life. I was truly favored by the Lord. Amen."

Bill was a member of Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado. He never stopped learning new technical skills and loved technology.  He enjoyed teaching people the skills he had learned and left a legacy of love. He and Priscilla loved cruises and travelling abroad, especially to her family in Alaska and Ireland. They were best friends - grateful to grow old together and loving the journey that God had planned for them. One of Bill's favorite times in his life was taking all his sons on fishing, and camping trips in the Colorado Springs area when they were growing up. Talking by phone with his sister, Dee Berg was always a joy to him.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his children, Larry (Kim), Michael (Christine), Richard, Gregory, Sharon (Kenneth), and John; his grandchildren, Scott, Stephen, Christopher (Rachel) and Geoffrey (Heather), Patrick and Heather. Bill is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Aubreanna, Angelique, Skylar and Abigail; and his step-grandchildren, Taylor, Camden, Maddox, Patrick, Jaydon, Ethan, Eli, James, Peyton and Tara Jo.  Bill will be missed across the country by a wide circle of friends, nieces and nephews. Bill's canine buddies, Sadie, and Hunter loved to be as close to him as they could get. Yes, his love had no boundaries.....
