Thomas Fry

Thomas Cushman Fry, 83, died at home in Deer Creek Canyon on November 23, 2020.

Born May 24, 1937 in Alhambra, California, he was a lifelong merchant and the original proprietor of the landmark Fry’s Market in Newport Beach, California. Tom lived in Lakewood and Littleton since 1969, importing pottery from Mexico for over 45 years. Along with his wife Susan, Tom drove an old school bus thousands of miles in Mexico searching out rural cottage pottery centers. For the last 32 years he and his wife operated Denver’s Old Santa Fe Pottery.

Survivors include his wife Susan Harrold Fry, children Brian Fry (Meao Shawn), Tameran Bethel (Garin), Ranney Fry and grandchildren, Hector Spencer Fry, Zachary Lavin, John and James Bethel and his sister Donna Osuch. Tom was preceded in death by his son Douglas Fry.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Horan & McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO. 80227. Interment will be at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, California.
