Sophia Gunther

Sophia Jane Gunther, 17 years old, of Westminster Colorado passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 7, 2021.

Sophia was born in Providence, Rhode Island and resided in Jamestown and North Kingstown, Rhode Island as well as Ft Pierce, Florida and Westminster, Colorado. She graduated this year from Westwood High School in Ft Pierce, Florida.

Sophia had the biggest heart. Always there for a friend in need, a lost animal, a crying child or someone less fortunate. She was a free spirit with a sharp and witty sense of humor. Her dark and sarcastic wit was always delivered at the precise moment for maximum affect. She laughed from the bottom of her toes, and it was impossible not to laugh along with her. She was incredibly smart and an amazing artist. She graduated High School a year early, moved to Colorado to be with her father and pursue work and college. Her fashion was always on point. If you knew Sophia, you would never forget her eclectic style. Sophia was a little bit of dark and a ton of light all rolled into the sweetest most beautiful young woman. She is already desperately missed by her family and friends.

Sophia is survived by her mother Maureen Tierney and her stepfather Barry Morris of Ft Pierce, Fla. Her father Joseph Gunther and stepmother Lu Gunther of Westminster, Colorado as well as her two sisters, Moriah Ables and husband James Ables of Ft Pierce, Fla and Keara Gunther and her partner Jake Ragland of San Marcos, Ca. She is also survived by her beautiful nephew Allan Ables and niece Mae Gertrude Ables.
