Scott Wesley Tate, age 46, died in Colorado Springs on April 2, 2021.
Born April 30, 1974 in Bakersfield, California Scott was recently living in Denver, Colorado and working at several startup companies with his twin brother, Steven. Most recently, he was Chief Information Officer and half owner of BlndSpt Consulting, LLC. Scott attended Monterey Peninsula Jr. College on a golf scholarship and ultimately graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Science. He supported several groups relating to blindness including Sponsors of Light. He was an Author and Educator through Pluralsite providing online technical programs providing training that enhanced many lives. Scott loved golf and downhill skiing and was an avid historic car restorer.
Scott is and will always be greatly missed and will be remembered by all.
Survivors include Maria Burton-spouse, Denver CO, Leland & Nina Tate-father & stepmother Houston TX, Dinah & Brian Layton-mother & stepfather Spokane WA, Steven Tate-brother, Broomfield CO, Amy Filler-sister, Chandler AZ, Alison Tate-sister, Littleton CO and 8 nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, June 6, 2021 at Horan & McConaty Funeral home at 1091 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver, Colorado with a reception to follow. Relatives and friends are welcome.
