Samantha "Sami" Belcher

Samantha “Sami” J. Belcher, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on August 6, 2020.

Sami was born to Nicole Taplin and Chris Belcher on August 14, 2001 in Littleton, Colorado. She was raised by her grandparents, John and Jan Chopyak in Thornton, Colorado.

She received a heart transplant on September 11, 2005. Sami attended Holy Family High School and was known for her love of baking. She loved baking so much, she had a special hashtag; #BBITH which stood for “Best Baker in the House”.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, John. She is survived by her grandmother, Jan; her aunt, Laura (Jorge) Duque; her uncle, Richard (Tina) Pastor; and numerous loving cousins.

In Sami’s name, memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital Cardiac Clinic, 13123 E 16th Ave, Aurora, CO 80045.
