What can you say about a man who:
Helped his mother raise his siblings, found the love of his life married her on April 19, 1958, produced 3 daughters, raised and married them off…
He worked a few jobs while studying to become a Denver Police officer, where he served and protected for 25 years. Retired just in time to see Colorado legalize gambling, where he served as security in Blackhawk for 10+ years.
He loved watching / going to football games (Go Broncos), was an avid golfer and loved bowling, the multiple leagues in a week would verify that. His later in life love was gambling, he would take off on Monday morning to Blackhawk to play video poker, and damn if he didn’t win, how many times did we get free rooms from him.
He inherited his grandfather’s bad knees, so the older he got the harder it was to get around, so what does he get? Yep, a motorized chair and off he went, the trails behind Target on 120th, Holly and 124th, then went to 104th and Washington, he was free and on the move, wind on his face and sun on his knees. Ask to hear the stories of getting stuck in the dirt, or running out of juice on his travels, getting sunburned in Mexico. We all have one, or two, He touched our lives in many different ways…
That is the man of whom I speak.
Our Dad, our grandfather, our Great grandfather
