Robin Garneau

Robin L. Garneau, of Thornton, died after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 68.

The daughter of Robert L. Bradley and Eunice E. Winslow, she was born February 17, 1953 in Denver CO, and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She married Joseph E. F. Garneau Jr. on March 26, 1977 in Northglenn, Colorado, initially meeting at a youth basketball draft.

Robin attended the University of Northern Colorado, and worked in the field of Recreation for Windsor, Northglenn, North Jeffco Parks District, and finally the City and County of Broomfield. She committed her life to the Rec Rats of CPRA, Youth CARA, and Broomfield Senior Softball and Volleyball programs. She enjoyed playing volleyball, organizing holey board tournaments and riding horses.

She loved all unconditionally. She touched many people in her personal life, in addition to her professional career. She always did what was best for her community and the groups she represented. She lived for her family and was very proud of each one of them. She had great affection for her cat Penny, dog Molly and her grand-dogs, Kayla, Harper, and Sophie. She loved her Staff, the color purple, and her Colorado Rockies.

Survived by her beloved husband Joe Garneau, daughters Becca Garneau and Brenda Wiegert of Thornton, and son Bobby (Kasha) Garneau of Aurora, two grandsons, Logan and Hayden Wiegert, her grand-furr babies (Molly, Penny, Kayla, Harper, Sophie), and siblings William (Kathy) Bradley of Broomfield, Celia Bradley of Superior, and fraternal twin Scott (Dea) Bradley of Louisville, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Eunice Bradley of Boulder, in-laws Joseph Sr. and Marian Garneau of Northglenn and other close family members. A private viewing for family and friends will be held at Horan & McConaty in Thornton, CO.

Funeral will be on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at 9:00AM, Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.

Celebration of Life Reception will be on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at 3:00PM – 6:00PM, at the Broomfield Community Center - Lakeshore Rooms, 280 Spader Way, Broomfield, CO 80020.
