Richard “Dick” Kent Trabert, 78, passed away in Denver, CO on July 14, 2021.

Dick was born on December 5,1942 in Alliance, NE where he met his wife of 54 years, Joanne (Elliott) Trabert. They moved to Denver, CO in 1967 where they resided until his passing. Dick was a computer programmer spending his career working for NCR, Robert Waxman, Inc., and Cherry Creek School District until his retirement in 2011. Dick was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church throughout his life. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, Class of 1964, where he joined the Theta Chi fraternity. Dick’s love for the university and Theta Chi continued as he was active in the alumni association until his passing.  Dick was active in the Order of DeMolay during his youth, later serving as an advisor, receiving the Legion of Honor for his outstanding leadership and devoted service to the organization. Dick was also an active member of Freemasonry and served as a Boy Scout leader for several years.

Dick is survived by his wife, Joanne Trabert, two children, Karen Trabert and Kevin (Casi) Trabert, and his sister, Joyce (Michael) Nelson, two granddaughters, Beverly Pudder and Audrey Pudder and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Eileen Trabert, sister, Linda Trabert, and brother Alan Trabert.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 30 at 10:00 am at Highline Community Church, 6160 S. Wabash Way, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
