Rebecca "Beckie" Beavers

Rebecca Ann Beavers, 63, of Erie Colorado passed away July 24, 2020. She was the first of 7 children, born August 22, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to her parents George and Georgia Lange.  Beckie worked at Skaggs Drug Store as a cashier while at Lincoln high school and after graduating in 1974, worked for a short time as a hostess at Denny’s.  She went on to hold various secretarial positions through a temporary agency and then worked as a receptionist for several years at the family business, Lange Graphics.  Beckie met Larry Beavers while attending high school and on May 9, 1975 at the age of 18 she married her high school sweetheart. They introduced their children, Jason and Kristy, at a young age into Quarter Midget racing where Beckie was the Announcer for several years.  They competed locally and nationally, met several long-time friends and traveled many places.  Beckie enjoyed having get-togethers and playing cards at their home in Thornton CO.  She was the ultimate Bronco’s fan and could talk you under the table about them.  She loved Elvis Presley; enough so, that she named her precious Maltese, Presley.  She enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts, camping and going to the casinos to play the slot machines. Most recently, Beckie had just nearly finished remodeling their home in Erie CO which gave her so much happiness.

Beckie is survived by her husband Larry; children Jason and Kristy (Jeremy); three grandchildren, Kylie, Trinity and Gage; brothers Keith (Lisa), Edward (Dawn), Steven; sisters, Linda (Michael), Michelle (Brian), Patricia (David), many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by uncle Michael Lange, brother-in-law Michael Mauer, grandparents George Sr. and LaDora Lange and George and Dorothy Daley.  The viewing will be held for Beckie at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 2 at Horan McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227 followed by the Rosary at 7:00 pm.  A reception will be held at 11:30 am at Monaghan’s Bar and Grill, 3889 King Street, Denver, CO 80236.
