Paul Hoffman

April 21, 2010 — September 14, 2020

The happiest day of our lives was April 21, 2010, when Paul Jaxson Hoffman gave us the gift of being parents. On that day we learned what unconditional, pure, and genuine love really meant.

To say he "hit the ground running" is a true understatement. Jaxson was so incredibly full of life, love, curiosity, and excitement. He was always by your side, never wanting to miss out and he made sure of that.

Jaxson never knew a stranger, always going out of his way to meet everyone, even a homeless man on the Riverwalk and whenever he happened upon a uniformed service member, he always went out of his way to thank them for their service. When Jaxson met you, and not just the first time, it was always with a sincere, genuine and excited greeting... his smile ear to ear, curiously inquiring as to what you were doing and sharing his day with you in record speed like an auctioneer. Those who knew Jaxson, even just a little bit, lost a shining light in their lives.

Jaxson was "all boy", always soaking up life and his love for fishing, swimming, tubing, wave running, four wheeling, riding his BMX & Scooter at the skate park jumping ramps... anything and everything outdoors and dirty. His shoes may not be able to speak, but his feet sure told the tale of an Epic day had...pewee! Ultimately, if Jaxson had his way, he was going to have a Dually Diesel Double Smoke Stack, but he wouldn't be without his super soft red and blue blankets... he would let you use "Bluey", but the red one was all his.

Jaxson loved spending time with his grandparents, often in the hot tub at Nana Barb and Papa Paul's. He recently started golfing with Nana Vicki and had a particularly good stroke. He enjoyed visiting his Uncle Chris and swimming in his pool. He had an awesome cannonball, a great silly salmon impression and no surprise, he had a particularly good stroke.

Bubba loved listening to Eminem, Dr. Dre, Post Malone, Imagine Dragons & Twenty One Pilots while plotting his next hair color & fashion trend, which would definitely include a tank top, gangsta chain & grills, at the same time making his next viral video of Josie, his best four legged friend and cuddle buddy.

Where you found Lauren and Brandon, Jaxson was not far behind. From the time Jaxson was a baby they vacationed, camped, fished, hiked, and played together. A lucky boy, having visited Mexico multiple times, Dominican Republic and hanging out with his many Great Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Wisconsin, Texas, Colorado and Kentucky.

Jaxson loved his local travels the most, hanging out with his parents, his true best friends; visiting nearby parks, lakes, fishing, ice fishing, anything to do with fishing. He hated going to bed, sometimes slapping himself a little so he wouldn't fall asleep, waking up every day as if it were Christmas morning, as soon as possible... looking for the days gifts, ready to get back to living life to the fullest, making sure not to miss out.

Jaxson was deeply loved and an incredibly loving young boy, his beautiful eyes, pure and untainted as was his gentle soul. You will be forever missed; life will never be the same without you. We love you, Bubba.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you when God took you home. If tears could build a stairway, and heartaches make a lane, we would walk our way to heaven, and bring you back again. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. -unknown
