Patricia was born July 3rd, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, sharing her birthday with her mother, Florence.
She attended St Vincent DePaul grade school, St Mary’s Academy high school, Central Business College and the University of Colorado.
In 1962 she married Ronald Tobey and had a son John in 1968.
Patricia had a passion for supporting those less fortunate than herself. She focused on the needs of the families and youth of the inner-city supporting organizations such as Seeds of Hope, Arrupe Jesuit High School, St Vincent DePaul Society and played a significant role in the design and funding of the St John Francis Regis Chapel at Regis University. She also helped to establish the John and Florence Fortune Family Foundation in memory of her parents for philanthropic giving. A member of the famed Pink Poodle Posse, who were the official greeters for the Colorado Centennial in 1959, Patricia was always known for her elegant style.
Closer to home, Patricia was an avid water colorist, baker and loved being with her family.
Every Saturday was spent with her brother Bill for pancake breakfast and every Sunday night for family night.
She will be missed for her quick wit and impetuous attitude.
