Nancy Lynn Gunderlock Varming, 64, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on April 27, 2021 at the Denver Hospice from lung cancer and other complications. She was born to Gerard A. Gunderlock and Jeanne F. Connor Findlay on March 8, 1957 in Evanston, Illinois.
She grew up in Glenview, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, but lived in Colorado for most of her life. She also lived in Alaska for a short time. Nancy was a retired house painter. She loved gardening, crafts, her two cats (Bear & Coon) and her beloved Birch Shores Resort in the UP Michigan and her SeaDoo.
Nancy was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother and I believe that is what she would want her legacy to be. She had a willing spirit, laughing nature, a big heart. Her fashion sense defied explanation but she loved her ‘style’. She was a force of life, living her life her way and never looked back. She was always ready and willing to have fun, always a big smile on her face (until the last 3 years), but despite her illness, she never lost her sense of humor. You could count on Nancy to be the life of any party. She loved her cats, her cabin in Michigan and her numerous friends. She had a quick smile and enjoyed laughing at everything and everyone. She was gregarious and outgoing and made friends wherever she went. We will all miss and love Nancy.
Nancy is survived by her husband Fredrick Varming; daughter, Tarah Gunderlock; silblings, Kathleen Mullens (John Crowley), Donna Wheeler, Patti Gunderlock, and Paul Gunderlock and grandson, Aydhun Byars. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Gerard A. Gunderlock and Jeanne F. Connor Findlay.
