Michael Zigler

Michael Gregory Zigler of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully with the comfort of his family by his side on October 17, 2020. Michael was born on August 26, 1962, at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, to Mary Touhy Zigler and Wayne D. Zigler. Michael spent his early childhood living in Michigan, Georgia, Virginia, and Chicago, Illinois. He moved with his family to Colorado in 1979.

Michael was a licensed Respiratory Therapist in a Cleveland, Ohio, hospital and various Denver metro area hospitals.

Michael enjoyed playing his guitar, traveling in the Colorado mountains, studying American history, touring battlefields and historical sites in Virginia, and researching family history. He was a good baseball player in his youth, a fan of the Colorado Rockies, and Chicago Cubs.

Michael is survived by his mother Mary Zigler, his father Wayne Zigler (Patty), his brother David (DeeDee), his nephew Jacob and his nieces Kayleigh and Ashley.

Michael had numerous friends in Colorado and Chicago. They will miss him.

A memorial service for Michael will be held on Monday, October 26th at 10am at the Horan & McConaty family chapel in Aurora, CO. Please note that there is a limit of 50 people in the chapel, and masks are required.

Reception to follow at the home of Tim and Danielle McMahon at 17355 East Crestridge Avenue, Centennial, CO 80015. Please join us if you can. Masks are required.
