Mary Plakorus

July 17, 1925 — November 23, 2020

Mary Christou Plakorus  at age 95, passed away peacefully in her bed on November 23, 2020.  Mary was born on July 17, 1925 to Nicolas and Paraskeri Christou in Halki, Greece.  She spent most of her life as a homemaker and was an active member of her Greek Orthodox Church.

Mary is survived by her children George (Mary) Plakorus, Patti (Neil) Route, Joanne (Richard) Hansen.  Her sister Goldie Manos, and brother Chris (Eva) Christou.  Her grandchildren Mark Plakorus, Lisa Plakorus, Martin (Jamie) Plakorus, David (Elizabeth) Route, Tracy Chavis, Julie Hansen, Jenny (Justin) Scheer, Lisa (Drew) Hyatt, Lori (Joseph) Amato-Baril and Karen (Graham) Miller.  Her 23 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Mike Plakorus, her sister Theodora Economas and her Grandson Michael Plakorus.

Mary leaves behind many other friends and family and she will continue to live on forever in our hearts.
