Marie Moll

Marie Moll, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 27th.

Marie was born on June 17, 1927 in Seguin, Tx to Ella and Rudolph Woelke. She was a long-time volunteer with the St. Therese School lunch program, Aurora Public Schools Title One program and the Aurora Downtown Business Association through the American Legion. She served as Unit Chaplain, Unit President, District Chaplain, District President and State Chaplain with the American Legion Auxilliary. For 20 years she served with the Lowry Chapel. Her longest time volunteering was with Fisher House (the military version of Ronald McDonald House) where she spent 25 years on the board of directors and then received the title of Emeritus. Many of these volunteer times overlapped, keeping her very busy.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Wally, and her grandson, Kevin Sutton. She is survived by her children Yvonne Sutton (Frank) and her children Becky Lawler (Mike) and Beth Thompson (Josh); Ann Bagwell (Brian) and his son Travis (Deja); Ruth Murphy and her children Pat, Kim Rizzo (Chris), Alyssa, David and Heather; Great-grandchildren Reagan, Devlin, Loren, Torrin, Jamie, Hunter, Jaxon; her sister in law Pauline DuPuis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, August 12th at 1:30pm at Horan and McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014 with a reception to follow in the HeartLight Center.
