Lucio Jaramillo was born on June 4, 1930, in Nuevo Mundo, Coahuilla Mexico to Carlos and Emilia Jaramillo, he is the second oldest of 13 siblings born. He married Eloisa M. Jaramillo from Santa Ana, Texas in 1950 forming a family of four beautiful children: Jose Jaramillo, Dolores Jaramillo, Lucinda Ruelas(Guadalupe) and Antonio Jaramillo (Layla).
After Jose was born, they relocated to Greeley, Colorado and had Dolores, they worked in the fields picking beets, barley, and potatoes. They moved to Denver, Colorado and had Lucinda and Antonio. Lucio worked at the Capital meat packing plant in Denver for 23 years until they closed. He then worked for Sunstrand Aviation where he retired after 10 years.
He is survived by his wife Eloisa M. Jaramillo and his four children, Jose, Dolores (Lola), Lucinda (Lucy) and Antonio (Tonio) Jaramillo, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and two siblings, Lupe Jaramillo and Alex Jaramillo along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos & Emilia and siblings Lorenza, Felix, Anselmo (Chemo), Innocente (Chente), Pedro (Pete), Carlos Jr., Socorro, Francisco (Pancho) and Gilbert Jaramillo.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Horan & McConaty 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Rosary will follow visitation hours. Funeral Service will be on Monday, 6/27, at 11:00 AM at Horan & McConaty 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Burial will follow service at Olinger Highlands Cemetery 10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
