Lawrence Wendling

Lawrence passed away at the age of 73 on Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, CO.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy, and his parents, Donald and Pauline Wendling.

Lawrence leaves behind three children, Paula Wendling, Clark (Shawn Ann) Wendling, and Laura (Wesley) Trimble, four grandchildren (Jacob, Daisy, Elijah, and Camille), sisters Janet Hall (Tim) and Crystal Dorrance (Mark), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lawrence Wesley Wendling will be remembered fondly for the faithful, steady love of his family.  He always made time to attend sporting events and recitals of children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and neighbors.  He loved giving his loved ones a good tease in his quiet-natured way.  Born and raised in Powell, Wyoming, Lawrence always considered himself a small town kid.  After graduating from Le Tourneau University, he enjoyed a long career in the commercial construction industry in Denver, and was honored to work alongside respected colleagues at Murphy Company.  He loved and served his Lord and the church, and formed deep and lasting friendships at First Baptist Church of Golden and at Faith Baptist Church in Lakewood.

Due to Covid restrictions and limited capacity, a service will be held at noon on February 26, 2021 for family and invited guests.  The family will be glad to share a link to a live stream of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to the Denver Rescue Mission in Lawrence’s memory.
