Kelley Rumbyrt, Md

Kelley Lynn Rumbyrt, MD, 59, of Westminster, Colorado, beloved wife, mother, physician, and friend, died Monday, December 28, 2020.

Kelley was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on September 12, 1961.  She grew up in Florida until 1969 when the family moved to southern California.  She graduated from Glendora High School and the University of California, Irvine.  She attended the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, and completed her residency in Psychiatry at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.  She worked for several community mental health centers in the Denver metropolitan area and most recently was employed by the Department of Disability Services for the State of Colorado.

Kelley was married to Jeffrey S. Rumbyrt, MD for 31 years and resided in Westminster since 1992.  More than anything, she will always be remembered for her faith, her kindness, her gentle nature, and her extraordinary love for her family and others.  Her home reflected her personality with warmth and elegance.  With her beautiful smile and uplifting words, she was a great support and source of encouragement to those around her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Molly, Luke (Jessica) and Noah, her mother Joyce (William) Harrison of Glendora, California, and her sister Rebecca (Peter) Fleck, MD, of Fort Smith, Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by her father, Lyndall Coffey.

A memorial service celebrating Kelley’s life will be scheduled later this summer.
