Kathryn Kelderman

Kathryn Ruth (Hoksbergen) Kelderman was born March 26, 1930 in Tracy, Iowa to Tunis and Jennie (Vander Horst) Hoksbergen. She was raised along with her brother Albert and sister Junella on a farm outside of Tracy, Iowa. She married Gerald “Jerry” Kelderman on June 20, 1950.

She is the mother of Larry (Sharon) Kelderman of Erie, CO Linda Momayez of Erie, CO and Don, who preceded Kathryn in death. She is the grandmother (mother) to Crystelle (Dan) Bodycomb of Arvada, CO whom she raised. She has eight grandchildren: Josh, Rachel (Uriah), Charity, Ciara (Andy), Camron (Brittany), Jennalee (Bill), Kayla, Tori and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jerry and Kathryn moved their family to Boulder, CO in 1962. They helped start Crestview Christian Reformed Church where she remained an active member for over 50 years. Kathryn worked for years at Fairview High School as a cook while raising their children. She also supported her husband in the family business of car repair and Mac Tool sales.

Kathryn was a prayer warrior spending endless hours praying for her family and friends. She loved fellowship and attending women’s bible studies at Crestview until 2017. In the last few years Kathryn moved into a retirement community where she enjoyed socializing and playing Bingo and Dominos with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, son Don, an infant daughter, Dorothy, her brother Albert Hoksbergen, sisters in laws, and her parents. The family is saddened by the loss of a great mother, grandmother and friend, but we know that she is at peace and through Christ we will see her again.

The family of Kathryn Kelderman has scheduled a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 21st at Crestview Church.  The service will also be offered livestream for those who desire to attend virtually through our Crestview Channel on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9Voqqzv3rOWzukElQdmr_Q/

This service of celebration will follow our indoor worship guidelines of safety during COVID-19.  During the service, the family will occupy the sanctuary space, others will be seated in the fellowship hall with some seating available outside near our sanctuary windows.  All post service conversations, visiting, and fellowship will be outdoors on the church lawn.  Mask wearing and social distancing is to be observed.
