Judith Lambert

February 26, 1943 — February 14, 2021

Born in Chicago, Illinois on Feb 26, 1943, Judy died peacefully at her home with her family present.

Daughter of John and Veronica English, Judy was born in Chicago Illinois and the oldest of five children. A devout Irish Catholic Prom Queen and an excellent student, Judy worked her way through college earning a degree in education at Chicago Teacher's College.  Working briefly as a school teacher, she married Lester J. Lambert and moved to Denver in the early 1970s.

Judy and her husband founded a successful vacation rental company and while simultaneously working at Western Airlines, Judy leveraged her experience in reservation technology to create an independent travel agency all while raising three boys.

Judy managed travel for major companies, but none gave her more joy than her work for The Archdiocese of Denver and the Seminary and Little Sisters of the Poor. Judy organized thousands of trips for clergy and also managed travel for Catholics all over the world to experience World Youth Day.

Her passion for travel did not stop when the industry changed and she used her lifelong commitment to service to lead tour groups through national parks across America.  Her love of reading drove her to learn the history of the parks and her teaching skills to make sure the groups left with the same admiration for nature's beauty.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Lester and three sons, Lester, Brian and John.
