Judith Higson

Judith Marie Higson, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021. Judith was born September 14, 1932 to James and Camille Higson in Denver, Colorado. Judith attended St. Mary’s Academy for K-12, graduating in 1950. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Loretto Heights College and her masters and PHD from Laval University in Quebec, Canada. Judith’s career included teaching for 1 year at College Blaise Pascal in Paris, serving as chairman for the Modern Language Department at Loretto Heights College for 17 years and teaching at Regis Jesuit High School for 7 years. Judith was also decorated by the French government as “Palmes Academiques”.

Judith was an avid dog lover. She was part of the National Boston Terrier Club of America, officer of Rocky Mountain Boston Terrier Club, French Bulldog Club of America, Humane Society of the United States and the National ASPCA.

A memorial mass will be held for Judith at Mother of God Catholic Church in Denver on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:00am followed by a Graveside Service at Fairmount Cemetery.
