TOBIAS, JUDGE ROBERT C. "Robbie"

With the heaviest of hearts, the family of Robert C. "Robbie" Tobias said their final goodbyes to Robbie on June 24, 2022.

Robbie was born to Barbara Ann (Barnett) and S. Charles Tobias in April 1946. Robbie grew up with his sister, Sunny, as third generation Coloradans. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School, University of Arizona and University of Denver's Law School. He practiced criminal law for 24 years and was appointed to the 18th Judicial District Bench by then Governor, Roy Romer. Robbie served as an Arapahoe County Court Judge from 1995 until his retirement in May 2017.

In his Jewish culture, humility is among the greatest of virtues. While Robbie was fortunate to enjoy an extraordinary life, he always remained humble. All would agree he was a very fair man, a good listener, had a kind heart, and a moral compass that never failed him. He was a true mensch.

Robbie leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Knight and her two sons, Michael (Debbie) Knight and Eric (Shannon) Knight, sister Sunny (Norman) Brownstein, nephews Chad and Bo (Lauren) Brownstein, and niece Callae Brownstein, as well as his precious grandchildren all of whom he dearly loved. He also leaves his adored rescue dogs, Bear and Teddy.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Robbie's name to his chosen charities:
