Joseph Knight

Joseph Kyle Knight, 70 years of age, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at UC Health in Highlands Ranch, CO after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joe was born on December 9, 1952 in the District of Columbia. His family moved shortly after to McLean, Virginia where Joe and his nine siblings grew up.  Joe’s career path with the Air Force and as a Defense contractor required that he relocate throughout his career.

Joe loved his family, friends, sports, adventures and military history.

He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Teresa, his siblings Mary Ellen Knight, Jane Robison, Barbara Knight, Patricia Linehan, Susan Frahm, Virginia McKenna, Karl Knight, Kyle Knight as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He will be greeted in heaven by his parents Louis A. Knight Jr, Doris Marie Knight and his brother Louis A. Knight III.

A Funeral service will be held for Joe on Monday, June 12th, 2023 at 11:00 in the morning  followed by a reception at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. Burial will follow the reception at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado at 2:15 in the afternoon at Staging Area "C". There will be a police escort from Horan & McConaty to Fort Logan National Cemetery following the reception. Guests will be asked to line up in their vehicles to proceed to the cemetery.
