Jeanne Hernandez

Jeanne Dugan Hernandez, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Littleton, Colorado on June 1, 2021. She was born in Watertown, South Dakota on August 16, 1937 to Edmund Joseph and Manella Jeanne (Lamm) Bauer.
Jeanne is survived by her siblings, Edmund Bauer Jr. (Pete), James Bauer (Jim), Denise Denny, and Therese (Teri) Bauer. She is also survived by her husband, Ismael T. Hernandez (Mike) and her four daughters, Kathleen (Kathie) Robson, Eileen Musser, Maureen (Marnie) Keller and Kelleen (Kelly) Deegan. Additionally, Jeanne had seven grandchildren, Ryan Musser, Casey Musser, Cory Keller, Haley Keller, Marcus Keller, Madison Robson, and Jaxon Robson; three step-granddaughters Mackenzie, Delaney, and Samantha Shields, and a great-grand daughter, Maya Musser. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Manella Bauer, and a brother, Michael (Mike) Bauer.
Jeanne graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital Nursing School with a degree in nursing and was a Registered Nurse. Jeanne enjoyed a variety of challenging and rewarding careers related to nursing. She operated her own business in California for ten years providing Medical Case Management and Vocational Rehabilitation Services. After relocating to Colorado in 1989 she was employed by the State of Colorado, Division of Workers' Compensation as a Medical Services Coordinator retiring in 2007.
Jeanne was a woman of many talents. She was a Handy Woman throughout her life. She did various home projects to include roofing, tiling, wall papering, plumbing and electrical repairs. With her hobbies, she specialized in silk and dried flower arrangements, custom wall hangings with miniatures, and custom Christmas wreaths. She was an avid collector of miniatures and lady bug items, like her lucky lady bug visor and her favorite lady bug blanket. She even had a lady bug tattoo on her ankle that she was very proud of. Jeanne was a very out-going person, she enjoyed family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and visiting with family and friends. She loved occasional trips to Black Hawk with Mike to play her lucky penny slot machine and to visit friends.
Memorial services will be held in Jeanne's honor on July 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado.
