Jason Writer

February 25, 1967 — September 13, 2021

Jason George Writer passed away peacefully in his home September 13, 2021.  A Denver native, Jason was born on February 25th, 1967, to Diane Davies Writer and the late Norman Daren Writer, both of Denver.  He attended Graland Country Day School and Kent Denver School prior to getting his BA in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

In 1997 Jason and his brother Adam founded AJW Investments LLC and the John Galt Group LLLP.  They worked together for over 20 years with success in various areas of business.

Jason loved to fish and was an expert fly fisherman, as well as an accomplished poker player.  He was also a member of the Greenhead Land and Cattle Company, which was a duck hunting club.  Even though the other men in the group were friends of his late father, they became Jason’s friends as well.

Jason enjoyed people and made many life-long friends. He was a loyal, caring, and generous person, who was also known for being witty, fun-loving, and very intelligent.

He was a devoted uncle to his niece Kylie, and to his nephews Jake, William, Daren and Trent.  For them, and for his brothers Adam and Gavin, and especially for his mother Diane, Jason will be Forever Loved, Forever Missed, and Never Forgotten!!

A gathering to remember Jason will be held on Sunday, November 14th at 12 p.m. at the Denver Country Club.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a non-profit that his father started…the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center, 8845 Wagner Street, Westminster, CO. 80031.
