Janet Rae (Henning) Williams, age 74 years, passed away at the Brookdale Rehabilitation Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado on January 20th, 2022. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, Colorado and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She met Norman Williams while studying at Colorado State University, and the two were married on April 5th, 1970. Janet and Norman were blessed with two sons, Mitchell and Erik.  They made their home in the Denver, Colorado area for many years until job changes led them to Aston, Pennsylvania and Naperville, Illinois. As a proud Colorado native, Jan was extremely happy to move back to Colorado once her grandchildren were born. She delighted in being able to watch her grandchildren grow and loved spending time with them, especially making them her famous “big rolly-up pancakes.”

She spent a vast majority of her life volunteering with the Girl Scouts, as a troop leader, organizing Girl Scout Roundups and playing music for various Girl Scout troops. A woman of profound faith, she was also incredibly involved in the Church, having served in multiple capacities at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado, Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Centennial, Colorado, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Aston, Pennsylvania and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois. When she moved back to the Denver area, she again began volunteering with Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit.

Jan loved the outdoors, traveling and most of all her family. She loved spending time with her family, going out to dinner and taking trips to the family cabin in Sargents, Colorado. Her laughter and her positive spirit will be missed by all her knew her.
