James "Larry" Camden

James L. “Larry” Camden, 79, lost is battle with cancer at home in Centennial, Co on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

Born April 14, 1941 in Olympia, Washington to James “Jim” Camden &Vella Darr Camden (deceased), Larry resided in several states throughout his life, but settled in Colorado where he flew for Continental Airlines for 37 years.  After he retired in 2001, he opened Executive Flight Training at Centennial Airport where he instructed many students throughout the years.  He was an active member of the Colorado Pilots Association and the FAA Wings Program.

Larry was an avid skier, woodworker, pilot and airplane mechanic.  He lived to fly, enjoyed trips to the mountains, spending time with family and friends, and telling stories from his past. He was patient, kind and he never met a stranger.

Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly Camden, his children David Camden (Mesha Camden) of MI, Debra Davis of TX, Anna Overley (Todd Overley)of CO, Diane Camden of TX, Doug Camden of TX, and Kitty Boland (Paul Boland)of CO, and grandchildren Logan Miller, Jarod Camden, Gavin Boland, Kira Boland and Dylan Davis.

Visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty, in Aurora, on Thursday, February 4th, 2021 from 9:30-11:00am in the Chapel. Details can be found below.
