Harlene Prager

February 29, 1932 — September 17, 2022

Centennial, Colorado

What we have once enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us – Helen Keller.

Harlene Anita Prager died unexpectedly at age 90 on September 17, 2022 with her daughter by her side.

Harlene spent her childhood in Chicago, Illinois where she kept company with her best friend, Lois Dusza. Harlene and Lois remained close friends for over 80 years (Lois passed away four days before Harlene’s death).

Harlene relocated from Chicago to Denver in 1960 and married the late Wally Prager in 1962. In 1965 Harlene and Wally bought a new house on Monaco Street in Denver where they raised their children and entertained friends, neighbors and granddaughters. They lived in this home together for 51 years.

Harlene was predeceased by her loving husband, Wally, in 2015. After the death of Harlene’s husband, Harlene’s granddaughter, Dylann, moved in with her for a year.

Harlene sold her home in 2017 and moved into her daughter's home where she spent the last several years of her life. She was healthy and mentally sharp, but was tired and ready to go.

Harlene is survived by her children; Dianne (Herrick) Forsyth, and Tim (Kathryn) Prager. She had four beautiful granddaughters; Dylann (Brant) Seeley, Morgan Forsyth, Brittany Prager and Kayla Prager.

We will miss you. We love you. Goodbye, Mom/Nana.

“There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.
