Dorothy Masters

Dorothy A. Herman was born to Lloyd D. and Lucy A. Herman, in McFadden, Wyoming, January 26, 1926.

She passed away in her sleep, Monday, November 15, 2021.

In 1926 Dorothy's family moved to Northport, Nebraska where she attended Northport Town School through the 5th grade. Moving to Bridgeport, Nebraska, she attended and graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1944.

As a teenager, Dorothy became a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

Following graduation, Dorothy moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she worked in a war production plant awaiting Glenn's return from World War II.
On August 23, 1946,  Dorothy was joined in marriage to Glenn Masters. Dorothy and Glenn spent the following years raising a growing family, in various locations in the Northwest, before finally settling in Lakewood, Colorado in 1972. Dorothy and Glenn moved to Littleton, Colorado in 2004 and in 2019 they made their final move to Balfour Senior Living, Littleton, Colorado. They were long time members of West Bowles Community Church.

She is survived by her husband Glenn, 98, Balfour Senior Living, Littleton, Colorado, their children: Edward ( Carol), Temecula, California; Steven (Jeannette), Peyton, Colorado; Thomas (Teri), Highlands Ranch Colorado and Nancy Maynard (Jim Maynard), Tallmadge, Ohio. Eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding Dorothy to Heaven:  their daughter Karen Lassiter (Kyle Lassiter), Pueblo, Colorado, daughter-in-law, Nancy Kay Masters,  Elizabeth, Colorado, and brother Lloyd D. Herman, Jr., Sarasota, Florida.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, 1 PM, West Bowles Community Church, 12325 W. Bowles Avenue., Littleton, Colorado 80127. Rev. James Maynard will officiate.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior.

Dorothy will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery during a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Bowles Community Church.
