Donald Snearline

Donald Paul Snearline, age 77, of Aurora, CO, died on March 13, 2023. Born February 21, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Paul Albert and Elizabeth Katherine (Burns) Snearline. He graduated from Gonzaga High School in Washington DC in 1964, and graduated from Penn State University in 1967. He married Marya Dolores Gilmore in 1970, and resided in Ann Arbor, MI from 1974 through 2005. Don worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan Department of Social Services, and worked tirelessly helping children, the elderly, and the disabled. He became an advocate for people suffering from traumatic brain injury, and served on the advisory council for the Michigan Department of Community Health Traumatic Brain Injury Project. He attended church at St. Francis Church in Ann Arbor, Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, and St. John Neumann Church in Canton. Following his retirement, he moved to North Carolina for two years before relocating to the Denver, CO area. After his wife Marya passed away, Don became a Stephen Minister in his church, so that he could provide support to others who had recently lost their loved ones. He married his wife Judith Loveland in 2015. He was a graduate of the Denver Biblical School and a student of the Denver Catholic Catechetical School. He is a parishioner of Ave Maria Parish in Parker, CO. He was an avid reader of religion, philosophy, meteorology, and astronomy. He enjoyed spending time with people and discussing the issues of the day. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. Don is survived by his wife Judith Loveland, sons David (Caroline), Joseph (Grace), sisters Marti (Ray) and Janet (Tom) Hankinson, stepdaughters Kim Peterson and Robyn Steckler, and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Marya, niece Beth Ann, and grandson Zachary Beck.
