Dennis Metz, age 68, was born in Rock Island, Illinois on August 2, 1952. Dennis was part of a large family, which included five brothers. Two years after graduating from high school he joined the US Marine Corps and served for 3 years at Camp Pendleton, CA. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1975, moved to Ft. Collins, CO where he attended Colorado State University and obtained his BS in Hydrology. Dennis’s first love was his 1968 Camaro, however, in 1978 he met the true love of his life, Pola, and they were married in 1979. Dennis led a life full of love with an impeccable work ethic. He had the most positive and joyous spirit. Family was important to Dennis and even though he worked remotely at many job sites through his career he made sure to make time for them every day. In his spare time, Dennis loved to work on his Camaro and spend time in his shop completing home improvement projects, woodworking and reading. Dennis is survived by his wife Pola, his son Garrett and daughter Kylie, his mother Sharlene, brothers Jim, Allan, Don, Kevin and Gery, daughter-in-law Amanda, and grandson Gabriel

Dennis’s Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on April 9th at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch. Dennis will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery with military honors, burial service for immediate family.
