Delores Nitz

Delores Nitz of Aurora, Colorado, entered her heavenly home on November 15, 2022, at the age of 87.  She is survived and loved by her husband, Chuck Nitz; daughters, Pam Palone (Pete) and Peggy Rupp (Bill); sister, Beverly Revas; grandchildren, Patrick Palone (Jenn) and Preston Palone (Megan); four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pati Gerrard, and siblings Daniel Badders, MaryAnn Contreras, and Butch Badders.

Delores was born in Goodland, Kansas, on October 25, 1935.  She graduated from Tech High School in Omaha, Nebraska, where, at the age of 15, she met Chuck.  They agreed that it was love at first sight. She and Chuck married in 1953.  Pati was born two years later, and Pam and Peggy (the twins) were born in 1960.  Chuck and Delores traveled often to Colorado and moved the family there in 1966.  Her greatest joy was raising her children and providing a loving home for her family.  She was thrilled when grandchildren arrived, and even more so when great-grandchildren came into her life.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. and a reception at 12:00 p.m.  A short graveside ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Hampden Memorial Gardens, 8600 E. Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80231.
