David Halbrook

August 10, 1957 — March 29, 2021

David L. Halbrook, age 63, died at St. Anthony’s Hospital on Monday, March 29, 2021. The cause was Covid Pneumonia.

Born August 10, 1957 in Denver, he lived in Sedalia, Louviers, Elizabeth, and Aurora and worked at King Soopers and various Lumber companies until retiring in 2018. David was a member of Eastern Hills Community Church. David loved his family. He loved God, his wife, children, and grandchildren above all else. David loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved baseball and football, especially the Broncos. He made beautiful leathercraft. David was a devoted, kind, gentle, patient, tenderhearted man.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Halbrook of Aurora, daughter Erin Hart (Joe) of Novato, California, son Cody Halbrook (Brianna) of Colorado Springs, grandchildren Gillian, Blake, Olivia, Marshall,  and Calvin,  brothers Tim Halbrook (Arleen), Jeff Halbrook (Tori), sister Crystal Chalk (Tony). Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncle, in laws, and Bitty. David was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Jean Halbrook, 2 aunts and an uncle, and grandparents. David was also preceded in death by his beloved pets Chinook, Fritz, Zip, and Casey.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Eastern Hills Community Church, 25511 E. Smoky Hill Rd, Aurora, CO  80016. Everyone is welcome in the celebration of David’s life.
