Daryle Hise

March 12, 1945 — April 12, 2021

Highlands Ranch

“A whiz at sewing” “A grammar and spelling guru” “A Newsletter pro” “My BFF”

These are phrases that describe Daryle Ann (Lent) Hise who passed away in April.  Daryle Ann was born in Ogden, Utah to Darrel Dwayne and Dorothy Eileen Lent (Stutz).  The family moved to Denver where Daryle Ann was active in all things band, school and dance related.  She attended Colorado State College (now University of Northern Colorado), and had a few jobs before landing her lifetime job of wife, mom and grandma.

Daryle Ann married Richard Hise in 1971.  This 50-year marriage would take them on many adventures to visit six continents and over 80 countries.  This marriage would also lead to the adoption of John P Hise and Shelley Romig (Hise) along with the birth of Geoff Hise, and a still born, Julianna.  Daryle Ann was always active in Girl Scouts, Band Boosters, PTA/PTO at all of her children’s schools, the neighborhood HOA, and multiple positions with Rollin’ Wheels Square Dance Club, where she remained the newsletter editor till the end of her time.  When she moved to Wind Crest, she was active in the band, the Bible Study, Square Dance, the Welcoming Committee, and was known throughout the complex as the one to go to when you needed to get things done.  Need volunteer ushers?  Ask Daryle Ann.  Need a party put together for hall residents?  Ask Daryle Ann.

Daryle Ann and Richard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary days before Richard passed in February.  However, she was not slowing down after his passing.  She purchased a ticket to Antarctica and was planning to go (with as many people as she could ask/recruit) in January 2022.  Word has it, that was one place Richard would not go.

Daryle Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Hise.  She is survived by her sisters, Lesli Lent, Sherry Abbink and Krissy Burke; her children John Philip Hise, Shelley Liann Romig (Josh), and Geoffrey Lent Hise, as well as her favorite granddaughter Megan; and her best friend, Claudia Walker. Numerous nephews and nieces also lost their aunt.

A Celebration of Life will be held jointly with Richard at 11:00 a.m., on June 25, 2021, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 1401 East Dry Creek Rd, Centennial, 80122. Interment will follow at Ft Logan cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
