Dale R. Rhyner passed away on October 9, 2020. Dale was preceded in death by the love of his life, Joan Rhyner to whom he was married for over 61 years. He was born in Schofield, Wisconsin on February 28, 1932.
Dale was a loving father and will be deeply missed. Dale and Joan had four children. Jeffrey Dale Rhyner, their only son passing in infancy, three daughters; Lori Leckner (Dan), Becky Mackin and Kerri Ray (Mack). Dale is also survived by two grandchildren; Mandy Collins (Brian) and Jared Leckner (Corinne), and four great-grandchildren; Katelyn Collins, Mackenzie Collins, Gage Leckner and Everly Leckner.
Dale served in the U.S. Air Force spending the majority of his service in Germany.
Dale and Joan spent their early married years in Wisconsin eventually settling in Colorado to raise their daughters. They retired to Florida and enjoyed nearly 24 years where they shared a love of travel and enjoyed 50 cruises together and visited 23 countries. Some of Dale’s favorite travel memories were seeing the Midnight Sun in Finland, river cruises in Europe and exploring Tahiti. Dale beamed when he talked of their travel adventures together.
Dale was also an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, playing golf and watching sports.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229. Due to current Covid ordinances, masks are required and family has asked that guests please honor social distancing. This service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Graveside with military honors will be on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:15pm (staging area "C") at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado.
