Charles Maher

Charles Maher, 93, was born in Greenville, Ohio to Joseph and Josephine Maher. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the tail end of World War II, serving in Korea.  Returning to civilian life, Charles married Dorothy Marie Haman in Tiffin, Ohio on October 27, 1951.  He was a business entrepreneur specializing in health insurance and travel. He is survived by his six children, Charles (Mary) Maher, Jr. of Monument; Kathleen (Charles) Harkins of Casper, WY; Christopher (Lee) Maher of Arvada; Thea (Frank) Watt of Westminster; Patricia (Bob) Davis of Lakewood; Matthew Maher (Kathryn Johanknecht) of Denver; his brothers, Donald Maher, and John Maher; his 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his brother Joseph P. Maher, Jr., his sister Catherine Jane Farson, and his parents.

Charles was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood. He enjoyed years of travel, many long-time friendships, and was a friend of Bill W. for 51 years. A viewing for the family will be held at Horan & McConaty on South Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood, Monday, March 1st,  6:00 PM, followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Private services for the family will be held at Saint Jude Catholic Church on March 2nd at noon, followed by interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
