Charles Arnoldy

Charles Edward Arnoldy, age 94, died at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Denver on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Born June 7, 1927 in Tipton, Kansas, he lived for most of his life in Denver, Colorado and worked for Denver University and then worked as employment counselor for the Colorado State Employment Department until his retirement.  Chuck was a member of University Park United Methodist Church where he was married in 1950 to Dorothy Brown.  He volunteered there until his declining hearing and sight made it impossible.

He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II until he was honorably discharged in 1945 when he returned to Denver.

Survivors include his daughters Aileen Arnoldy and Elaine Arnoldy and his sisters Leota Heideman and Delores Johnson, all of whom live in the Denver Metro area.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Matthew Arnoldy and Mayme Thomas Arnoldy as well as beloved wife Dorothy Brown Arnoldy and his dear friend Connie Riepe.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.  Interment will take place at the University Park United Methodist Church
