Cecilia Wall

September 17, 1933 — November 19, 2020

Cecilia Wall was born in Denver, CO on September 17, 1933 and returned to the Lord on November 19, 2020. She is survived by three living children, Karen (Glen), Jim (Sandy), and Ted (Dawn); and eight grandchildren, Teresa, Amanda, Arthur (Lauren), Tate, Caitlin, Erik, Kristin, and Justin. She now rejoins her husband of 42 years, Edward; two eldest sons, Bob and Tom; and one grandson, Steve, in heaven.

She had been living in a memory care unit in Westminster. She died peacefully with Karen and Tate by her side, after a short battle with cancer. We are happy she is at peace once again and forever grateful for the Atria staff for their caring and assistance.

Cecilia had a full life, mostly revolving around her kids and grandkids. She rarely missed any school, life, church, or sporting event for any of them. As her kids got older, she worked as a school aide and spent more time on personal activities. She enjoyed golf, racquetball, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.  Most of those she did with Ed. They even did a couple of road trips to the east coast. After Ed’s passing in 1995, she didn’t stop traveling. She made trips to Europe and Canada. She even had a few solo cross-country flights to make it to first communions, confirmations, or graduations of Jim’s kids. In her role as Grandma, she went to as many of the grandkid activities as she could.

She spent her life not only caring for her family but serving her Catholic community as well. Cecilia spent her later years teaching LBC and RCIA classes, being a traveling Eucharistic minister for those that were homebound, and chaired the Caring Hearts group which arranged volunteers to visit those living in nursing and assisted living centers.

We were so lucky and blessed to have such a caring mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed.

A private Rosary, Funeral Mass and Committal Service will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church in Arvada, and burial at Mt Olivet Cemetery. Please note that with current COVID restrictions attendance is by invitation only for both the services and the burial.
