Carol Hazelton

Ester Carol Hazelton, born March 1st 1947 died in a car accident January 15, 2023 at 6pm. Ester went by her middle name Carol and was born in Lexington, TN. She is survived by her two brothers, four children (two boys and two girls), twelve grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild still in the oven. Ester always made sure all children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren felt loved and received gifts on special occasions. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister. Carol was loved by all her family members and an important part of her family.

Ester worked as a painter with her two daughters and was working up until the time she passed away at the age of 75. She had both knees replaced and rheumatoid arthritis, but always tried her best and was a hard worker. She said she liked to work because it kept her going and feeling alive. She was one of the strongest people her family had ever known.

Carol’s personality was very kind, generous, and loving. Her family will miss her very much and her memory will live on with all of them.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 beginning at 1:00PM until 2:00PM with a Celebration of Carol's life to begin at 2:00PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.
