Carissa Marquez

Carissa Michele Marquez passed away on Friday, September 4th, 2020 at Sky Ridge Medical Center due to complications related to liver failure.

Carissa was born March 1st, 1980 in Denver, Colorado to James Clayton Masingale and Michele Jolene Castor. Carissa graduated from Skyview Highschool in Thornton, Colorado in 1997.  She followed in her father’s footsteps working as a Nuclear and Hazardous Materials Tec at Rocky Flats, The Hanford Site in Washington State and the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

She is survived and dearly loved by her mother Michele de Rozario and stepfather Carl de Rozario; son Bryson Marquez; siblings and their spouses, Josiah Masingale, Sunshine Martin, Erica Leader, Greg de Rozario, David de Rozario, Torey Robbins, James de Rozario and eight nieces and nephews.

Carissa was a fun-loving caring daughter who loved her family and her best friend Max.  She was a beautiful soul who was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents including Henry John Castor and her father, James Masingale.

There will be a viewing Friday, September 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Horan & McConaty located at 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado 80122.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 19th at the same location.  Carissa will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet cemetery following the funeral service.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral and internment are by invitation only. Carl and Michele will be hosting a reception at their home from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm following Carissa’s interment.
