Bruce Ramsay

Bruce Edward Ramsay of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 16, 2021. Bruce was born to Arlan and Judith Ramsay in Boston, Massachusetts. He was 61 years young. Bruce grew up in Boulder, Colorado and attended CU Boulder for his undergraduate degree and went on the earn his Master’s degree in Mathematics at Princeton University. He was the Chief Software Engineer at Maptek/KRJA in Golden, Colorado.

Bruce was a skilled backcountry hiker/backpacker and was pursuing a through-hike of the Colorado Trail having only three segments remaining. He was also an avid reader, loved gardening and taking long walks. Bruce and his wife, Jeanne, often enjoyed spontaneous weekend getaways in and around Colorado.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ann Ramsay, on February 27, 2021.

Bruce is survived by his father, Arlan Ramsay of Boulder, Colorado, his wife of 19 years Jeanne Ramsay of Lakewood, Colorado, his brother Keith Ramsay of Denver, Colorado, his stepson, Justin Simonar (Kasandra Harris) of Aurora, Colorado, and his stepdaughter Brooke Allison (Lorne Cordova) of Parker, Colorado.
