Beverly Van Kirk

Beverly Louise Van Kirk of Centennial, Colorado died at the age of 85 on May 2, 2022.  She was born in Pittsburg, PA to Gertrude S. Jones and Gilbert Kelly Jones in 1936.  After her father’s untimely death, Beverly’s mother remarried and Beverly was adopted by her mother’s new husband, Reverend Ralph A. Hax.  Beverly moved around quite a bit in her childhood.  In 1957, she married the love of her life, the most eligible bachelor in town, Franklin Q. Van Kirk, and they eventually settled in Denver.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Frank.  She is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Kathleen (Lloyd) Apodaca, Scott (Maria), and Kendra (James) LoBosco.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Becky (Pat), David, Courtney & Casper and her brother Ron Hax.  Bev was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Beverly lived  a full life and was the self proclaimed ‘luckiest person in the world’.  She worked as a pharmacy tech at Heritage Drug for many years. In retirement, she and Frank loved to travel.  Beverly always had time to help others. She volunteered in many capacities at her beloved Bethany Lutheran Church as Sunday school teacher, MOPS mentor, Confirmation leader, Eucharistic Minister and also served the organization Operation One Nation along with many other groups. Beverly was full of energy and joy and made friends with everyone she met.  She was loved by all.

Funeral services will take place on May 16, 2022 at Bethany Lutheran Church 4500 E. Hampden Avenue, Cherry Hills Village, CO.  The service will begin at 1:00pm and the interment will be in the Bethany Memorial Garden immediately following the service.  There will be a light reception, at the church, to follow.
