Anne Finnefrock

September 4, 1934 — June 15, 2022

Denver

Anne Dolores Schmitz, age 87, entered eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on June 15, 2022. She was a graduate of Oconto High School in Oconto, Nebraska. She went on to attend college for two years at St. Anne’s in Omaha, NE. She met her Husband, Byron Finnefrock, got married in 1959, and had their oldest son, Doug, and moved to Denver, Colorado in 1961. She worked her entire married life as a homemaker and for 21 years as the accountant and business manager for her and Byron’s various businesses.

Anne was an avid bowler, cook, golfer, volunteer, and world traveler. She is survived by her husband, Byron, married for 62 years, children, Douglas (Sylvia), Michael (Susan), Trish Riddle (Chuck) and Kent (Cynthia). She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Schmitz, her brother, Paul Schmitz, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her son Todd, parents Frank and Irene Schmitz, brothers Robert Schmitz, Francis Schmitz, Gaylord Schmitz, and her Sisters Yvonne Herman, Mary Schmitz, and Agnes Myerring.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met. She was an incredible and humble servant of the Lord and extremely active in her Catholic Church.  She was a life-long giver to many unfortunate and poor families which included buying and delivering food to a homebound family every week for several years. Many of Anne’s selfless acts of charity went unnoticed due to her benevolent humble and compassionate nature.
