Anne Blasi

January 6, 1935 — November 7, 2021

Littleton

Anne Davis was born on Jan 6, 1935, to Mary Hanna and William Roy Davis. She died Nov 7, 2021. Anne was born and raised in Denver, mainly in the Park Hill neighborhood east of City Park. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic school, St. Mary’s Academy, and East High school. She then continued her education at Loretto Heights College for one year before transferring to Colorado A & M (CSU) in Ft. Collins.  Anne met Robert (Bob) Blasi there in the fall of 1953. A couple of months into college, Anne was leaving synchronized swim practice when at a distance she noticed Bob. They didn’t speak to each other at that time, but for Anne it was love at first sight. A few days later, at pom-pom team tryouts, Anne was very embarrassed to find that Bob was one of the judges. They talked after tryouts and he later called her and asked her out for a Coke. Bob graduated at the end of the Winter term in 1953, but he stayed in the area and they continued to date. He worked in the oil fields while looking for a coaching job. After accepting a teaching/coaching position at the high school in Helena, MT, Bob proposed to Anne April of 1954. He wanted her to join him. They were married in a small ceremony on June 30th, 1954 at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Shortly thereafter, they drove to Montana to begin their new life together. They spent only one school year in Montana because Bob was hired as line coach at Colorado State College (UNC) in Greeley. They resided in Greeley for the next 43 years. In the early years of their marriage, Anne was at home raising their five children. Around 1969 she went to work in retail sales and management, and then in 1975 she received her real estate license. She was a realtor for the next 23+ years. Anne and Bob spent their retirement years in Conifer and Littleton where they enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially walks through the forest with their dogs. They were married for more than 67 years.

Anne is survived by her loving husband, her five children: Val (Alius Kaleda), Lori (Richard Shields), Brad (Michael Colacino), Doug (Sandy Andrade) and Chris; six grandchildren: Davis, Brandon, Jordan, Nicolas, Liz, Robbie and step-grandchild Sarah Shields, plus two great-grandchildren Christian and Shepard; as well as nephews, Eric, Pete and Mike Grosskreuz. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Elaine Grosskreuz and brother James.
