Allynn Walther

Margaret Allynn Drury Walther died on September 26, 2014 at Life Care Center of Littleton surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at All Souls Catholic Church in Englewood. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at Horan and McConaty located at 5303 E. County Line Road in Centennial. A 6:00 p.m. viewing will be held prior to the vigil service. A memorial in Allynn's honor has been established to All Souls Altar and Rosary Society. Allynn was born October 29, 1921 in Morgan City, LA to Lynn Joseph and Alfreda Cecil (Golden) Drury. She graduated from Morgan City High School, summa cum laude, in 1938 and attended Business College in Baton Rouge, LA. On January 3, 1943 she married William Arthur Walther, Jr. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, Louisiana. They were married for 68 years prior to his death in 2011. Allynn was a devoted wife and mother and a woman of great faith. She had the strength to raise six children and the courage to lose two. She was a 50-year member of All Souls Catholic Church Alter and Rosary Society. Allynn touched many lives through her gentle, compassionate, and loving spirit. Her gracious southern heritage shined throughout her life. Survivors include son James (Joan) of Englewood; daughters Lynne (Ronald) Klemke of Oshkosh, Nebraska; Diane (Ronald) Bakel of Loveland, Colorado; Ginger (Robert) Shearer of Loveland, Colorado; Mary (Gary) Smith of Littleton; thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Other survivors sister-in-law Dottie Drury of New Orleans, LA and numerous nieces and nephews including Gregory (Janet) Kreider of Houston, TX, Kent (Betty) Kreider of Laurel, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother, her son William III, and her daughter Jane Blair.
