William Joseph Warner was called into the arms of the Lord April 3, 2014 at the age of 93. Born February 1, 1921 in Loda, IL. William was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Mary Theresa, they were separated by death by only 13 days. At the age of 21, Bill enlisted in the Unites States Navy. In service to his country, Bill sailed all 7 oceans and was awarded five medals during his nearly four years of service during World War II. Upon his return from the war Bill moved to Colorado to work for his cousin's construction company in the building of the Green Mountain Dam. Bill received a masters degree in English Literature from Regis College. He worked as a writer for the Denver Catholic Register, National Jewish Hospital and the City of Denver and finally retired from the Public Service Company, working in the Colorado Public Relations Department. Each Sunday Bill volunteered his time performing Eucharistic ministry work for Saint Anne's Catholic Parish. He also taught English classes at the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility in Canyon City; he was active in the Men's Club and Knight's of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Rita Crump, father Gerald Francis Warner and siblings Barbara, James Anthony and Gregory Francis. He is survived by his brother Roger Gerald. Bill was a father of five (Richard Dennis, Mark Joseph, Jeffrey Phillip, Mary Monica Luther and Melanie Danette Seifert); grandfather of 11 (Christopher, Michael (deceased), Britt, Zachary, Kelsey, Gwendolyn Luther, Jamethon Luther, Kendal, Mikale, Kyle Seifert, and Daniel Seifert); and great-grandfather of two (Michael and Sofia.) He was surrounded by family in his final days. There will be a viewing from 6:00 p.m. â 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9th at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Ave, Arvada. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church, 7555 Grant Pl, Arvada. The Interment will follow after the mass at 12:15 a.m. at the Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO (meet at Staging Area ""C"").
